 Christopher
M. Trower, a retired lawyer, is available as a mediator or arbitrator commercial or labour
anywhere in the English speaking world.During 16 years, his law practice covered
litigation, securities, corporate and commercial, including international commercial law.
He has a breadth of experience in labour and employment law.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is on the list of
international commercial arbitrators held by the American Arbitration Association. He was
a member of the London Court of Commercial Arbitration.
Before he went to law school, he spent more than 15 years as a full time officer of the
trade union movement. He was a business agent for the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of
America in Vancouver and Victoria BC. In Toronto he was a staff representative for the
United Steelworkers of America. He was Senior Negotiator for the Ontario Public Service
Employees Union.
An author, he wrote the book, Arbitration at a Glance,
published in 1974. He also wrote The Bargaining Game, which has
not yet been published
